New Pets and Back to the Dungeon

Varriel got a new pet snake today.

And I got a sweet new pet kitty.

I like to assume my cat form and hang out with my new friend. Both pets were gifts from Ahlana, our gracious Guild Leader.

Later on Varriel, Zurcantas and I went down into the depths of Black Fathom Deep again.

We worked very well together as a team and soon came face to face with Twilight Lord Kelris, leader of cultists who sacrificed innocents to Aku'Mai. After a vicious battle we finally prevailed.

Ahlana to the Rescue

Varriel and I discovered what it's like to be "corpse camped". After venturing into Horde territory, we found ourselves in a skirmish with some Horde, and it must have set off an alarm, for soon a very powerful Tauren found us and killed us. Every time we made it back to our bodies, the Tauren would kill us again. We called out into the universe for help, and somehow Ahlana, the queen of our guild, heard our pleas and raced to rescue us. When she arrived, the Tauren had fled, undoubtedly sensing her approach and knowing he would be no match for her.

We will always be grateful to our kind and mighty leader.

Once we were free to continue on our own, we made our way into a Horde town, and the locals were surprisingly friendly to us.

This one Tauren sniffed me, and other than that we had an enjoyable stay.

Horde Territory

Varriel and I went on a journey that took us into Horde territory. This was far more dangerous than anything we'd ever done before.

Black Fathom Deeps

The mighty mage Zurcantas accompanied Varriel and I to our first dungeon at Black Fathom Deeps. Things are scary enough outdoors when you never know what you'll run into, but imagine what it's like deep underground inside a dungeon, where there's nowhere to run.

One of our rare moments of rest inside the dungeon.

Renewed Hope

Today was a big day for Varriel and me. We met a powerful hunter named Ahlana, and she invited us to join her guild, Renewed Hope. We accepted, and are now proud members of this strong and growing guild.

The Great Ahlana

Zurcantas is a powerful mage in our guild who has helped Varriel and me out from time to time.

Invasion!

While staying in Auberdine, Darkshore, we were attacked by the Horde! The battle was chaotic, with swords and magic everywhere.

People died and soon reinforcements arrived. I jumped right in to defend my people.

The aftermath was surreal, but we fought them off.

Later, these trolls wandered into the wrong place at the wrong time.

Night Shadows

Some are afraid of the night, but I love the other side of the Goddess. Her mysterious side.

And there's nothing like the end of a long day, when I can stretch...

...and fall asleep.

A Close Friend

Varriel and I are becoming close friends. We adventure a lot together now. Here we are on a boat, voyaging across the sea to distant lands.

People never seem to discuss all the boring down time an adventurer must face.

But the rewards are worth it.

We briefly joined up with Allestal. Safety in numbers.

More down time

It's always good to have someone you trust when running through caves.

The adventure is only beginning.

New Forms

A good bit of time has passed, and I have learned how to take on the form of a sea lion...

...and a large cat.

Pets

I met up with Varriel again, and being a hunter, he has tamed some pets.

Here he is with a beautiful big cat named Shallavar.

The Mighty Shallavar

The bond between a hunter and his pet is strong. Shallavar loves to bathe his master's face.

Varriel's second pet is a magnificent wolf named Icefang.

At Peace

Before setting out, I shared an amusing moment with a kindred spirit.

I set out to end the suffering of Lady Sathrah, who had been cursed to be a giant spider.

It was difficult, but her spirit was set free and now resides back at the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus.

I also freed the spirit of a young woman, Anaya Dawnrunner, whose lover, Cerellean Whiteclaw, had been suffering greatly without her. They met for a brief teary reunion, but alas, she had to move on.

Varriel

Well look who I ran into again at Ban'ethil Hollow. None other than Varriel the Hunter.

We entered into a nearby cave in search of the Relics of Awakening together. I mainly let Varriel do most of the fighting and watched his back. We found a few kindred spirits in the caves and I saved more than one of them from certain death with healing spells as they ran for their lives.

Nice pants!

Afterward we bought some new goodies in Dolanaar.

Varriel checks out my new staff. At least that's what I think he's looking at.

Great Bear Spirit

Priestess A'moora

My exploration of Darnassus yielded many beautiful places and fascinating people. At the Temple of the Moon I met Priestess A'moora at the bequest of Sister Aquinne. The priestess wants me to end the terrible suffering of Lady Sathrah, so that she may be reborn with a renewed spirit. Not an easy thing to do, killing someone cursed who people care about.

Leaving the Temple of the Moon

Scenic Teldrassil

Here I've just finished lunch atop a large tree branch overlooking a serene lake. The breathtaking beauty of Teldrassil continually amazes me.

Coast of Rut'theran Village

My travels have taken me to places yet farther away. Here I am on the southern coast of Teldrassil in the Rut'theran Village, wistfully gazing out toward Kalimdor.

I have grown as a Druid, and while I have much to learn, I went on a quest to learn the secrets of the Great Bear Spirit. The Goddess pervades everything, and if we are to realize our true potential, we must learn the different aspects of the Goddess in all of nature. The first step is to seek out the Great Bear Spirit. And so I traveled far in search of this great being.

Tauren

My travels led me to seeing my first Tauren, a race of the Horde. Normally Elves and Tauren would be mortal enemies, but we have set aside our differences and come together as Druids for the sake of restoring balance to the land and all of its creatures.

Great Bear Spirit

Finally I encountered the Great Bear Spirit, and gradually learned his secrets. And through his guidance I learned how to take on the form of a bear.

Grrrrr

Believe it or not, this is me!

Varriel the Hunter

I just had to return home to share with my family my new skills and adventures, and on the way through Dolanaar I met Varriel the Hunter. I had seen him around our hometown of Aldrassil once or twice, and it was nice to meet someone familiar, now that we had both left the nest. I gave him some potions I had created from herbs I had gathered, and accompanied him on a difficult quest. Together we made a formidable team! We watched each other's backs despite a few close calls.

End of a Long Day

Afterward we made our way back to Dolanaar and wished each other well. I get the feeling I'll be seeing more of Varriel.
